ü  The Bio-Rad CFX96™ Optics Module is a high-performance real-time PCR detection system featuring six-target multiplexing capability with precise thermal control and sensitive optical detection. Supports 96-well plate format for simultaneous analysis of multiple samples. Fast thermal cycling with accurate temperature uniformity.

Unique features/Measurement capabilities, if any

Ø  Six-target multiplexing capability allowing simultaneous detection of up to six different fluorophores. Solid-state optical system with six filtered LEDs and six filtered photodiodes for high sensitivity and specificity.Minimal cross-talk and superior signal-to-noise ratio for precise quantification.

 

 

Instrument Technical Description and Major Specifications (This Specifications Limited to Major 5)

 

·          Real time PCR works on principle of cDNA as template and amplifies it with suitable primers, added with florescent dye for real time amplification data, amplicon not more than 250bp. Comparative multiple gene fold/expression change analysis

Measurement/Sample specifications:

§  Compatible with standard 96-well PCR plates and a wide range of fluorescent dyes (e.g., FAM, HEX, ROX, Cy5, etc.). Detects as few as 1 copy of target nucleic acid depending on assay sensitivity. Suitable for gene expression analysis, genotyping, mutation detection, and pathogen quantification.

·         cDNA; ~100x diluted with specific primers amplifying not more than 250 bp of amplicon.

SYBR mix or any such fluorescent DNA binding dye has to be used in form of whole PCR mix.
